Cuco Martina is set to join Boro on loan, according to sports journalist Pete O’Rourke.
Martina has been subject of interest from Championship clubs as Everton look to move on several unwanted players on permanent deals before the deadline.
The left-back future evidently doesn’t lie at Goodison Park having been told to train away from the rest of the first-team squad by Blues boss Marco Silva.
The Premier League side had been keen to offload Martina on a permanent basis and were looking for a £2m transfer fee but were open to a temporary deal.

It now appears that the 28-year-old is set to join Boro on loan as they look to secure promotion back to the big time after missing out on a swift return last season.
Martina made 21 appearances for Everton last season, but lost his place towards the end of the campaign and found himself on the bench for the final nine games.
He would provide steady competition for George Friend, who has been largely unchallenged in the left-back spot for Boro since the departure of Fabio to French side Nantes.
