Boro have reportedly registered an interest in Leicester goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic.
Jakupovic only joined the Foxes last summer following Hull City’s relegation from the Premier League, signing a three-year-deal.
However, the 33-year-old has been limited to just two appearances this season, with both coming in the FA Cup.
The lack of involvement is said to have left the Swiss unhappy at the way he has been treated at the King Power – and now he’s looking for a way out.
Boro are one of the sides understood to be keen along with Cardiff City, who clinched promotion on the final day.
Recently relegated West Brom as well as Boro’s play-off finals Derby have also expressed an interest.
But any potential deal to being Jakupovic to the Riverside would largely depend on what division they find themselves in next season.
