Former Middlesbrough shot stopper Dimi Konstantopoulos was the guest star on the latest Boro Breakdown episode.
Dimi, who left Boro in the summer, spoke at length about his time at the club, which included a play-off final, promotion, and many a clean sheet.
He talked to the podcast team about the play-off final, the spirit of the dressing room in the promotion campaign, that final day showdown against Brighton and his ‘Big Dave from Hartlepool’ nickname.
Aitor Karanka’s Charlton fall-out was also a topic of conversation, as well as the following season’s reported dressing room divide and Gaston Ramirez.
A fan favourite on Teesside, Dimi also gave shout out to the ‘tremendous’ Middlesbrough faithful, saying the appreciation is very much mutual.
